OIL AND GAS CAREER JOB OPPORTUNITIES

An indigenous Oil and Gas Exploration Production company based in Lagos requires applications suitably qualified candidates to fill the under-listed vacant positions:

1. PETROLEUM ENGINEERS (RESERVOIR)

(REF:EP/001)-08

DUTIES

The candidates shall be responsible for handling evaluation of oil and gas reservoir performance and depletion strategies, review reservoir problems and propose work scope for reservoir characterization and simulation studies, analyse actual field data and timely make available results of detailed reservoir simulation models using sound professional software, preferable Eclipse and petrel for further reservoir optimization decisions.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Suitable candidates must possess a good university degree with a minimum of second class in Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with relevant experience of not less than 5yrs in the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry. The candidates must be proactive, self-starter aand adequate in communicating technical data in a diverse team environment.

Candidates must be a good problem solver, able to work under pressure and deliver result safely within specified scope, cost and time and must not be more than 35 years of age.

2. PRODUCTION ENGINEERS

(REF:EP/002)-08DUTIES

The candidates shall be responsible for providing production engineering input during the engineering, implementation, commissioning/start-up phases, improve and optimize production by effective and efficient completion design and well intervention plans till well abandonment.

He/She shall prepare, submit and obtain approvals of operational activities from relevant regulatory bodies, prepare statutory reports as well as ensure all data/reports related to drilling/production operations are obtained and well kept.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

In addition to the requirement stated in (1) above, the suitable candidates must demonstrate excellent ability to use Petroleum Engineering theories to solve problem and identify enhancement opportunities. Working knowledge of oilfield chemistry as it relates to corrosion, scale, paraffin and emulsion prevention/treatment is required.

3. FACILITIES ENGINEERS

(REF: EP/0030-08DUTIES

candidates shall be responsible for handling, coordinating all engineering project including surface and subsea facilities, Front End engineering, conceptual and detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning, supervise and ensure that Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors comply with international standards specified for the project. Provide support for all offshore facilities installation and maintenance. Ensure that all approvals are promptly obtained from relevant regulatory bodies as well as prepare and submit all statutory reports.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCESuitable candidates must possess a good university degree with a minimum of second class in Civil/Structural, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with relevant experience of not less than 5yrs in the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry covering design, fabrication, installation, start-up, and maintenance of offshore production facilities, demonstrative ability to effectively utilize modeling software (PIPESIM, HYSYS) is required.

4. GEOLOGISTS

(REF: EP/004)-08DUTIES

Suitable candidates shall be responsible for handling all geological activities of the company including but not limited to preparation of Field Development Plan (FDP), 3-d seismic interpretations and provision of geo-technical support to drilling. The candidates shall apply best practices of geological evaluations and the identification of new material plays leading to informed, timely and actionable recommendations for major investments.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Suitable candidates must possess a good university degree with a minimum of second class in Geology and possess good ability to provide sedimentogical and sequence stratigraphic support for exploration and development of reservoirs, track record of working in multi-disciplinary team, conduct base petrophysical analysis of all key logs to provide Vshale, Sw, Sxo.

Proficiency in the use of geological and geophysical software preferably Geoframe and Petrel is required. Other requirements are in (1) above.

5. SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

(REF: EP/005)-08DUTIES

Suitable candidates shall assist in implementing, designing and managing the company’s IT infrastructure and operations. He/She shall support, monitor, resolve and test hardware and software problem; performs and coordinates installation of operating system hardware and software servers and workstations; maintains, monitors and analyzes system components and make recommendations regarding upgrades, computer system security and resource utilization; conducts software and hardware evaluations, provides technical analysis and implantations and other appropriate procedures related to It as well as performs such other functions as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Suitable candidates must possess a good university degree with a minimum of second class in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. He/She must have at least 5 years cognate experience in IT networking in the upstream Oil And Gas Industry. Demonstrated ability resolve It related problems must not be in doubt.
